Amélie Rioux is currently completing a Civil law degree (LL.B) from University of Montreal. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology and a Graduate diploma in Health management from McGill University. Prior to studying law, she worked as a research assistant in orthopedics and genetics for the Lady Davis Institute of the Jewish General Hospital.

Since Amélie joined the Centre of Genomics and Policy in January 2009, she has worked on projects focusing on the communication of genetic information, immunization and nanotechnologies, and participated to the creation of a database for Genome Canada.
