Kelly McClellan is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the CGP and is presently a 2nd year law student at the University of Montreal.  She is currently working on projects pertaining to knowledge translation in the field of pediatric genetics and the obligation to communicate genetic risk information.

Prior to law school, Kelly earned a BSc in Anatomy & Cell Biology, and an MSc in Biology, both from McGill University, followed by a PhD in Cellular, Molecular Medicine and Neuroscience from the University of Ottawa.  Kelly’s studies were funded through scholarships from the Stem Cell Network, Ontario government, the Institute of Aging and a Canada Graduate Scholarship Doctoral Award from CIHR.  Through her scientific studies Kelly published a number of scientific papers and developed expertise in a broad base of topics in cell biology and genetics including embryonic development, female fertility, cancer, stem cells, and neuroscience.
